Adding a resource/texture pack to your server helps share it with your players so they can easily use it, too!

Be sure to find a resource or texture pack that you like and are willing to share with other players! It's important to note that listing the pack on your server does not force other players to use it, it only prompts them to download it if they wish to do so.

For reference, resource packs are used by Minecraft 1.6.1+, whereas earlier versions use texture packs. While both can modify textures (a.k.a the appearance) of things in-game, resource packs can also add sounds and block models. Block model additions are only supported on Minecraft versions 1.8+.

Finding a Resource or Texture Pack to use

Most people find resource/texture packs on sites such as PlanetMinecraft or MinecraftSix, however, there are tons of websites offering a plethora of options out there. We simply advise using caution when visiting websites and downloading available files.

Restrictions

You'll first need to be sure that the resource pack you've found is under 50MB in size. If you've chosen a texture pack, it must be under 10MB in size.
It must be a single, zipped/archived file, not a folder or directory.

Once you have your pack downloaded, you'll need to upload it to a file-sharing website. The most common option used is Dropbox as it offers a free option to store files and you can easily create a share link. With one of these, you can change ?dl=0 to ?dl=1 to make it usable for a server pack.

If you opt to use a different file-sharing site, you will need to ensure that the link you use is public and goes directly to the download.

Adding the pack to your server

  1. Log into your Prisma account here: https://prisma.cubedhost.com/login

  2. Once you have logged in, select the server you wish to update.

  3. Select the "Stop" button and wait for your server status to show as "Stopped".

  4. Navigate to "Customize" > "Settings".

  5. Provide the link to the pack in the appropriate field for your pack's type.

  6. Select the "Save" button at the bottom of the Settings panel.

  7. Start your server.
